4th pressing (issued in late 1963) of the boys classic debut album. Black & yellow Parlophone labels with the'Recording First Published 1963' and'The Parlophone Co Ltd... Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N. 1st issue laminated flipback Ernest J Day & Co Ltd sleeve with large mono logo in the corner and'Photo: Angus McBean' credit in bottom right corner of front, starting underneath the letter's' of'songs'. This is the original sleeve design that was used for the 1st press black & gold issues. See my other items for more vintage Beatles LPs. EX lovely copy with a nice shine and just some slight sleeve removal hairlines plus some light storage rash on one side; there's no major marks, scratches or wear; both labels are in very nice clean & bright condition; I played the album in full and can confirm the the record plays wonderfully throughout - there's just a couple of light pops at the start of'A Taste Of Honey', otherwise the audio is superb with no major issues or surface noise - even the gaps between tracks are silent!

Overall a great copy and very hard to find in this condition. / EX- (the original laminated flipback sleeve in great shape with no tears, stains, writing or major creasing; there are no splits to the edges and spine is still fully readable; the front laminate is very nice and glossy and has only a couple of minor creases at the corners; a bit of wear & tear to the flipbacks at the bottom edge on the rear, otherwise a very solid EX). Comes with original tracing-paper lined Emitex sleeve. I USE THE UK RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM. I'M VERY CAREFUL WITH MY GRADING BUT I DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO PLAY-GRADE EVERY SINGLE ITEM, SO MOST GRADES YOU WILL SEE ARE VISUAL ONLY.
