Some notes on how to tell an authentic Vee Jay Beatles album: This record by the Beatles is probably the most counterfeited record in the history of the record industry.
The fakes that were produced range from poorly made copies to others that look very authentic at first glance. There were numerous style Vee Jay labels used on the original authentic pressings. One dead give away to identifying a fake is seeing the album title "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" and the artist title "THE BEATLES" separated by the spindle hole on the labels.
If these two titles on the label are separated by the spindle hole IT'S A FAKE! The covers used numerous methods of identifying the STEREO pressings. Some had STEREO stickers adhered to MONO covers. Some had STEREO printed in the upper corner. Some had the large STEREOPHONIC band printed at the top of the front cover. Covers that don't show George's shadow on the right front cover are FAKES!
Covers with poor faded or washed out color are very likely FAKES. Covers that have a grey or brown border around the front covers are FAKES! This particular original pressing offered here is 100% guaranteed to be an AUTHENTIC VEE JAY STEREO PRESSING!
