This is a very very rare sealed and mint copy of the original 1969 pressing of The Beatles' Abbey Road LP on Apple SO-383. A true "holy grail" for Beatles collectors. This copy has the original cover with the drainpipe visible at the bottom edge (see photos), which is only the case on original pressings. It does list Her Majesty on the back. It came from the collection of a woman who worked at Longs Drugs in the Bay Area, who bought a bunch of records wit her employee discount at the time, but never had a record player so she never opened them!
She quit in late 1969, so all the records are from 1969 or earlier. This copy is almost completely pristine. The disc of course is mint and untouched. The cover has only one flaw, which is a small "stripe" of light fading along the right edge (see photo), mainly only at the lower half of the picture. Really not bad at all. The photo makes it look more pronounced than it is. The shrinkwrap is split right in that same area, from the bottom up to about John's chest level, so about a third of the way up the edge.Still very much sealed; this split in no way effects the condition. There is a very slight ring to be seen but I don't think it is actually on the cover. It is just on the shrinkwrap.
In any case it is barely noticeable at all. This is truly an incredible find... A top, near perfect sealed original copy, just about impossible to find, and impossible to beat. This is what it actually costs to insure it for the full amount.
