The Beatles White Album - 1st - Export UK 2-LP vinyl record set, 1968. Side 1: YEX 709-1/ Side 2: YEX 710-1/ Side 3: YEX 711-1/ Side 4: YEX 712-1. Holy Grail 1968 UK export issue 30-track stereo double vinyl LP on a black & yellow Parlophone label, pressed exclusively for export to those countries for which Apple was not yet a registered legal entity. Comes housed in a fully laminated gatefold sleeve which is top opening, embossed and individually numbered on the front with internal flipbacks, complete with black inners, large fold-out lyric poster and the four glossy 11" x 8" photos. This really is a holy grail piece for The Beatles collector.

A very limited amount of copies were pressed; exported, in far smaller numbers than the Apple stock pressings. The labels bear the exclusive'P-PCS' prefix in the catalogue number with The Gramophone Co. The matrix numbers are machine stamped. The number on the front of the gatefold reads'0028784'.

The labels are clean and free of writing, there are just a few spindle marks around the centre hole. Very slight sun fading to side 1 and 2 labels. The vinyl itself retains its deep gloss sheen and remains in Excellent condition with just some minor evidence of its age and plays. There is a small hairline visible on side 2. The records play with great audio throughput, only the slightest background crackle in the quietest sections.

Remains bright, with only a little little of the'yellowing/discolouration' more commonly found. There is some light paper scuffing, minor ring wear; slight peel to the laminate on occasion found along the spine.

There are no splits to the black inners; the photo inserts have no sign of having been displayed. There is some very minor foxing to the white backs of the lyric poster; picture inserts, all of which is of little consequence. All in all, this is a serious complete original in superb condition and a great investment piece. These export copies will only get harder to find over time; this astonishing collector's copy comes highly recommended at today's market price. The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill.
