The Beatles White Album UK VERY 1st Mono Press Vinyl LP NO EMI November 1968

THE BEATLES - WHITE ALBUM 1968 VERY FIRST PRESSING! This is a very first press mono copy of the White Album released on 22 November 1968.

The sleeve is numbered 0603441 and the matrix numbers are XEX 709-1, XEX 710-1, XEX 711-1 and XEX 712-1. There is no An EMI Recording at 9 oclock on the labels which was added pretty quickly after release making this Album one of the first ever released and much more sought after.

SLEEVE The top opening numbered sleeve is in very good to condition. It suffers from yellowing, so common with original white albums, and a tiny amount of creasing.

The top openings are very strong with minimal of the feathering you usually find. There spine is in great condition, the text has faded a little making it hard to read. Does have a few marks and scuffs as common with these albums, it has also been written on bearing the name "Worrall" but it's still certainly one of the better sleeves Ive seen. The 4 photos are all in very good to excellent condition.

In excellent condition, clear and almost like new, no tears or marks, creases are in good condition. One of the original black sleeves is missing, the sleeve that is there is in good / average condition, it does have a couple tears and creasing. The records themselves still have a great shine and look to be in good condition, there are a scuffs on the vinyls as expected with use. (I haven't tested playback, but should be ok / barely noticeable) Side 1 & 2 include the "EMI Recording" label Side 3 & 4 have NO EMI on the label.

If you're looking for a museum quality final upgrade this is not it but it is a great example of a very first press and certainly one of the better copies I have personally seen for sale.
